  • By Road: You can travel to Nubra Valley by road. There is Private and state-run buses are available all day. If you have a personal car then at-first use the National highway to reach Leh. From there take khardung La pass road. The valley also connected with Manali and Delhi.

  • By Rail: Jammu Tawi Railway Station is the nearest rail station to Nubra Valley. Near about 370kilometers from the station. From here you can take a private car or bus to reach the valley.

Best Time To Visit:

  • July to September is the most popular time to visit. Throughout the year you can see cold climate. In summer you can feel less stiff and in winter temperatures drop very low—that why summer season is the best to tour plan for Nubra Valley.

Place To Visit In Nubra Valley:

  •  Samstanling Monastery: 140 years back in 1841, Lama Tsultim Nima founded Samstanling Monastery, which situated in the Sumlur village. There serve more than 50 monks every day. From Leh the Monastery is 124km The outer side of the monk there is a religious flag. Inside of the monk, there is wall painting which is reprinting Buddha and his speech. At the entrance, there is a boy who gives flowers to every tourist. This is the most popular tourist place among visitors for his beautiful environment and armature.

  •  Diskit Monastery: Most largest and oldest Buddhist Monastery in Nubra Valley is Diskit Monastery. In the 14th century, Changzem Tserab Zangpo founded Diskit Monastery. Here is a 106ft tall statue that is one of the most popular attractions. From Leh 116km, you can reach your destination.

  • Hall Of Fame: Hall of the frame is a museum that represents the sacrifices made by our great, brave soldiers to secure our country. This located on the Leh-Kargil road, Near about 4km from the city of Leh.

  •  Bactrian camel safari, Nubra Valley: Bactrian camels are not usual ones which we can see everywhere it mostly found in Rajasthan. These type of camels have two humps. Two times they start the ride from Hunder to Turtuk. Timings are 9.00 Am to 12.00 Pm and 3.00 Pm to 6.00 Pm.

  • Panamik village: From Leh this village located near about 140km. Panamik lies situated on the bank of Nubra river which is known for its hot water in the springtime. Bactrian camels and Pashmina goats are famous here. Everything about this place is very eye-catching. Green valleys are looking so pretty. This place is also great for tracking. Notable things for shopping are beautiful shawls, woollen socks, walnuts, carpets, apricots etc. here are a limited place to stay.

  • Yarab Tso, Leh Ladakh: The best-kept secret area of Ladakh is holy Yarab which is known as “the hidden lake”. This place located near the Sumur village, which is 15km from Dikshit. You can reach this place by hiking uphill for 20 minutes. Here you can see the crystal clear river. It is a suggestion please not to wash your feet or anything also not to swim.
