The Hill Station Of Mount Abu: “Shimla Of Rajasthan”

Mount Abu is a hill station in the Sirohi district in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. It sits on the Aravalli Range. It is the highest peak in the mountain range. It is popularly referred to as an ‘oasis in the desert’ as it features several lakes, waterfalls, rivers and a lush green forest.  The plateau is famous for several tourist attractions like the Nakki lake, several temples, and museums. It's the state's only hill station.

How To Reach Mount Abu :

  • By Air: The nearest domestic airport to the hill station is at Udaipur, and the nearest international airport is at Ahmedabad. So for those coming from foreign countries, it is recommended that you board flights directly to Ahmedabad.   • By Road: numerous bus services ply routes connecting the city of Mount Abu to surrounding cities like Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Baroda, and Udaipur.
